Common questions

What is a specification?

A specification is the exam board’s own description of a course: the content you can be examined on, how the exams are set out and how they are marked. Every exam question has to come from it, which makes it the most useful single document to revise from.

Is the specification on each past paper page too?

Yes. Every course page that lists past papers links its specification at the top, and each course has a specification page here with the board’s PDF, how the course is examined and the way to its past papers and grade boundaries.

Are these the current specifications?

Each link opens the specification on the board’s own website, so you get whatever version the board publishes now. We recheck every link when we refresh the catalogue, and we do not keep copies.
