Work on paper

Mark work you did on paper

cookie marks a paper you did by hand from photos, against the mark scheme, with the ticks and comments on the page the way an examiner would.

A sample worksheet answered by hand. Press Use my phone’s camera and a photo of it arrives from the phone. Press Mark it with AI, with Mark it on the paper like an examiner ticked, and red ticks, a cross, a short note and the total of 3 out of 4 are written on the page, then the score for rates of reaction goes from 47% to 60%.

Marking work on paper FAQ

What if there is no mark scheme?

Where the board has not published a mark scheme yet, the AI still marks from what an examiner would usually expect, and says so beside the mark.

How much does marking cost?

Marking with AI uses credits, shown before it runs. Writing the marks on the paper uses more than marking alone, about 2 credits a question instead of 1.

Can I take the AI’s marking off the page?

Yes. The eye in the ribbon hides the AI’s writing, and Remove the AI’s marking from the paper, in the marking panel, takes it off.

Do I need a scanner?

No. Photos from a phone work. On a computer, Use my phone’s camera shows a QR code, and the photos you take on your phone appear on the computer.

Can the AI get a mark wrong?

Yes, it is AI and it can be wrong. Your own marks stay beside the AI’s, so you can compare the two against the mark scheme.
