Exam questions written from your own notes
cookie writes questions in your exam’s style from the notes you add, marks your answer the way an examiner would and brings the topic back when you need it.
What you get with exam questions
Questions about what you actually studied, and marks that tell you what to fix.
Questions from what you studied
They are written from the notes, PDFs and photos you add, so they follow your course and your board.
Marking with partial credit
Each answer is marked against a mark scheme written alongside the question, with a worked solution and feedback on where the marks went.
A score for every topic
Every mark goes into that topic’s score, and spaced repetition brings it back sooner if you struggled.
How the question generator works
- 1Add your materialMake a question deck from notes, PDFs or photos, or start from a shared deck for your course.
- 2Answer one question at a timeType your answer or write it on the whiteboard, as you would in the exam.
- 3Read the marksSee the marks for each part, the worked solution and when the topic comes back, and challenge a mark you think is wrong.

- Practice stops when the past papers run out
Questions in cookie
- You have to recall it to answer

- Weak topics come back more often
- A new question whenever you want one
What students use the question generator for
Checking a topic after class
Turn this week’s class notes into questions and find out what did not stick.
Practising in the exam’s style
Choose your exam and board, and each question shows the marks for every part, as a real paper does.
Homework from a tutor
A tutor on Cookie Tutoring can set questions as homework, and your answers are marked the same way.
Exam questions FAQ
How does cookie mark my answer?
Against a mark scheme it writes alongside the question, with partial credit, a worked solution and feedback. Each answer gets an exam-style score to compare with a real paper and a quality grade out of 5, which decides when the topic comes back.
Can I use a question I have already been set?
Yes. Just do a question reads in a question you already have, typed in or photographed, and marks your answer the same way. A photograph is only used to read the question in, and is deleted straight afterwards.
Which exams does the question generator work for?
Any board or exam your notes cover, because the questions are written from what you give it. There are also ready-made decks for GCSE, A-Level, IB, AP, Scottish Highers and many other courses.
Does the question generator use credits?
Yes. Writing and marking questions uses credits, and a question costs more the more source material it is written from, so smaller, focused decks go further.
Can the marking be wrong?
The marking is done by AI and AI can be wrong, so you can challenge any mark, and a tutor can review it.
