A-Level Economics questions, generated and marked

cookie generates A-Level Economics questions from material you choose and marks what you write against criteria it produces with the question, separating the analysis marks from the evaluation marks the way a real scheme does. Essay and data-response practice is what it is for, because evaluation is the thing almost everybody loses marks on, and spaced repetition decides when a topic returns.

Decks in the library for this

There are 3 public decks for this, built from published exam-board material. Import one and you get a private copy to practise from and change.

Evaluation is where the marks are, and where they are lost

Most Economics answers analyse well and evaluate thinly, and you cannot see that in your own work because the analysis feels like the answer. Marking the two separately makes it obvious: full marks for the chain of reasoning, one out of four for whether it holds.

A diagram question is marked on the diagram and on what you said about it, so both get credited.

Common questions

Can it mark a 25-mark essay?

Yes, in parts, with a worked answer afterwards. It is marking an exam answer rather than reviewing coursework.

Does it use current examples?

It uses what is in your deck. Adding your own notes on recent cases is the way to get questions and marking that expect them.
