See how well you know each topic
cookie keeps a score for each topic from every question you answer, card you rate and paper you mark, and gives your weakest topics more of your time.
A sample student answers a question on rates of reaction, rates a flashcard on moles as Again and finishes a past paper question on electrolysis. After each one the score for that topic changes and the topics re-sort, weakest first. That record then decides when rates of reaction comes back, aims the next question at moles, puts moles cards first, gives the revision plan targeted sessions, tells the assistant the weakest topic and shows the same list to a tutor.
What you get from your topic scores
One record of what you know, kept up to date by everything you revise in cookie.
A score for every topic
Marked answers, flashcard ratings and past paper marks all count, and a flashcard counts half as much as a marked answer.
Topics that come back in time
Spaced repetition brings each topic back just before you would forget it, sooner if you struggled and later if you did not.
Practice aimed at weak spots
Your next questions lean towards due and weak topics, the weakest flashcards come first and your plan gives them more time.

Revising by feel, or by your scores
Guessing what to revise

- Every topic gets the same time
- Nothing to show a tutor
With topic scores
- Scores worked out from your own marks
- Your weakest topics listed first
- More time for what you struggle with
- A tutor you work with sees the same scores
What students use topic scores for
The week before a test
Open your Topics page and start with the lowest score rather than the first chapter.
Planning the term
Let your scores decide which subjects get more of your revision plan.
Lessons with a tutor
A tutor you work with sees your topic scores, weakest first, and can set work from them.
Topic scores FAQ
How does cookie learn my level?
Every question you answer, flashcard you rate and past paper question you mark adds to a score for its topic. Those scores decide which topic a deck’s next question leans towards, put your weakest topics first when you study flashcards, give them more time in your revision plan and tell the assistant where you are.
Where can I see my topic scores?
On your Topics page in cookie, which you can search, and a tutor you work with sees them too, weakest first.
Does a flashcard count as much as a question?
No. When the two are put together into a topic’s score, a flashcard rating counts half as much as a marked answer.
Does asking for help count towards a topic?
Only if you choose. Help and mastery, in Your account, sets whether softer signs, such as asking for an explanation, count a little towards a topic, and tutors never see them.
Do topic scores use credits?
Working out your scores uses none. Studying flashcards and marking a past paper yourself use no credits either; the AI that writes and marks questions does.
