PAT (Physics Aptitude Test) past papers

University of Oxford has published 18 question papers for PAT (Physics Aptitude Test) from 2006 to 2024, 2 of them with a mark scheme. They are listed newest first, and each one opens the PDF on physics.ox.ac.uk in a new tab.

Oxford’s PAT was last sat in October 2025. From 2027 entry Oxford uses the ESAT for Physics and Engineering, and the old PAT papers are still good practice for its maths and physics. Which test each course asks for now is in the admissions tests guide.
