Common questions

How does the mock interview work?

Pick the interview and, for a university one, your subject. The AI interviewer introduces itself and asks a warm-up question, then two questions about you and your subject or the job, following up on what you say. You answer by typing, and at the end it writes a short report: what went well, what to work on and what to do next.

Are these real interview questions?

No. The AI writes questions in the style of each interview, from what universities and employers say about how they interview, but they are not questions any of them has asked, and cookie is not connected to any university or employer. It is AI, so it can be wrong.

What happens to my answers?

They go to our AI to ask the next question and write the report, and are not kept: the conversation stays in this tab and is gone when you close it. Please don’t type anything personal, such as your name or your school.

How many can I do?

One a day on each network, so the computers in one school share it. With an account, Interview prep runs interviews of any length for many more universities, subjects and jobs, with problems on a whiteboard, spoken answers and a full report, and checks a CV or personal statement.

Which interviews can I practise?

Oxford and Cambridge, other UK universities, medicine MMIs and panel interviews, US college alumni interviews, and graduate job and internship interviews, including investment banking, consulting and law firms.
