Flashcards for OCR GCSE Mathematics (J560), split into the specification's twelve numbered content areas, in order. Higher-tier cards say so. OCR gives no formulae sheet in the exam, so every formula candidates must recall, including Pythagoras, the trigonometric ratios, the quadratic formula and the sine and cosine rules, has its own recall card; a sphere, cone or pyramid's volume and surface area formulae are given in the question, so those get cards on when and how to use them instead.

Adding it gives you your own copy, with every subdeck below. Each card then comes back just before you would forget it, and every one you get right or wrong counts towards your mastery of its topic. You can delete or suspend the parts you are not studying once it is yours.

Some of its cards

  • How do you solve a linear inequality in one variable?
Treat it like an equation, but reverse the inequality sign if you multiply or divide by a negative number
  • How do you use a table or grid to find the probability of a combined event, such as the total from two dice?
List every possible outcome in the grid, then count how many give the result you want out of the total number of outcomes
  • What does it mean for two shapes to be congruent?
They are exactly the same size and shape, so one can be moved, turned or reflected exactly onto the other
  • How do you turn a real-world description into an algebraic expression?
Represent the unknown quantity with a letter, then write the operations described in words using that letter
  • An angle less than 90 degrees
    Acute angle
  • How do you construct the perpendicular bisector of a line segment?
Set compasses to more than half the line's length, draw arcs from each end that cross above and below the line, then join the two crossing points
  • A collection of terms combined with operations, with no equals sign, such as 3x+23x + 2
    Expression (in algebra)
  • What does a−na^{-n} mean?
    The reciprocal of the positive power: a−n=1ana^{-n} = \frac{1}{a^n}
  • What does the gradient of a distance-time graph represent?
    Speed
  • How do you check that two fractions are equivalent?
Simplify both fully and see whether they give the same value

And 554 more once you add the deck.
