KS2 SATs scaled score calculator

Pick the year and subject, then type the raw marks added up across that subject's papers to see the scaled score from the Standards and Testing Agency's table. It runs in this browser, and nothing you type is sent to us.

Type the total raw marks across the mathematics papers. In 2026, 56 out of 110 was needed for the expected standard of 100.

Common questions

What is a good KS2 SATs scaled score?

100 or more means a pupil met the expected standard. Scores run from 80 to 120, and many schools and the government's own statistics treat 110 or more as working at a higher standard.

How many marks did you need for 100 in 2026?

English reading: 25 out of 50; Mathematics: 56 out of 110; English grammar, punctuation and spelling: 34 out of 70.

Why does the conversion change every year?

Each year’s tests are different, so the Standards and Testing Agency sets a new table after marking, to make 100 mean the same standard whichever year a child sat the tests.

Can I use this for a practice paper at home?

Yes, as a guide: add up the marks across the papers for the subject and use the table for the same year as the paper. A score from a practice paper at home is not the same as sitting the test in school.
