Flashcards for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level H2 Mathematics syllabus (9758), split into Pure Mathematics and Probability and Statistics and then by topic in the syllabus's own order. A card's extra note says whether a result is given in the List of Formulae and Results (MF27) or has to be recalled. Follows the syllabus for the 2027 examination.

Adding it gives you your own copy, with every subdeck below. Each card then comes back just before you would forget it, and every one you get right or wrong counts towards your mastery of its topic. You can delete or suspend the parts you are not studying once it is yours.

Some of its cards

  • What is integration, as the reverse process of differentiation?
Finding a function whose derivative is the given function
  • How is the scalar product (dot product) a⃗⋅b⃗\vec{a}\cdot\vec{b} of two vectors defined geometrically?
    a⃗⋅b⃗=∣a⃗∣∣b⃗∣cos⁡θ\vec{a}\cdot\vec{b} = |\vec{a}||\vec{b}|\cos\theta, where θ\theta is the angle between a⃗\vec{a} and b⃗\vec{b}
  • What is a differential equation?
An equation relating a function to one or more of its derivatives
  • What is ii defined to be?
    A number satisfying i2=−1i^2 = -1
  • What is a Maclaurin series?
An expansion of a function as an infinite power series in xx, built from the function's value and derivatives at x=0x=0
  • What is a continuous random variable?
A random variable that can take any value within a range, rather than only a countable set of values
  • What is the general shape of the curve y2=axy^2 = ax, for a>0a > 0?
A sideways parabola opening in the positive xx-direction, symmetric about the xx-axis, passing through the origin
  • What is a hypothesis test used for?
To use sample data to decide whether there is enough evidence against a stated claim about a population
  • What is a discrete random variable?
A variable whose value is the numerical outcome of a random experiment, and which can only take a countable set of values
  • What three things define a function?
A domain, a codomain, and a rule that assigns exactly one output in the codomain to each input in the domain
